Meet Ed, a Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation tenant who believes that the right supports can make all the difference.
For Ed, aging at home means more than remaining in a familiar place. It means maintaining independence, staying connected to his community, and continuing to live life with confidence. He knows that access to the right programs and supports can help seniors navigate everyday life while remaining active and engaged.
Through his experiences, Ed has seen how community-based supports provide reassurance, foster connection, and help people continue doing the things that matter most. Whether it’s accessing services, participating in activities, or simply knowing help is available when needed, he believes these supports play an important role in helping seniors thrive.
In this Seniors Month video, Ed reflects on what aging at home means to him and why providing the right supports helps seniors maintain their independence, well-being, and sense of belonging.
This video is part of TSHC’s Seniors Month series, featuring four tenant stories from across our four regions and celebrating the many ways seniors contribute to vibrant communities.
