Spring has arrived, and so has the newest edition of Seniors Speak! I hope you’ve been enjoying the warmer weather and brighter days. It’s always a great feeling to see the days get longer and to spend a bit more time outside.
June 2026 marks four years since Toronto Seniors Housing was launched. It’s a big milestone for all of us. I want to thank you for your support, your ideas, and your collaboration as we continue building a community where everyone feels welcome and able to thrive. We’ve made real progress together, and we also know there is still work to do. I’m grateful that we can continue this work side by side with you.
June is also full of important celebrations. It’s Seniors Month in Ontario, a time to recognize the many ways seniors strengthen our communities. Your experience and insight make a difference every day, and we are proud to honour that. June is also Pride Month and National Indigenous History Month—both meaningful times to learn, reflect, and celebrate the diversity that makes our community stronger.
