Important Message from Tom Hunter

Dear Tenants,

I want to let you know that at our TSHC Board of Directors meeting this afternoon, the Board announced that Jill Bada will take on the role of Interim CEO, Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation (TSHC), as of August 9. I will transition into the role of Interim President and CEO at Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) as of July 31.

Jill comes to TSHC from the City of Toronto where she has been Director, Strategic Policy and Programs, for many years. She was the former General Manager for the Seniors Housing Unit at TCHC involved in delivering the Integrated Service Model and the creation of Toronto Seniors Housing. I am confident that both tenants and staff will continue to do very well under her leadership.

Jill has the full support of senior staff and the Board and I will work with her on a smooth transition into her new interim role. I am confident that Jill and the staff will continue to deliver on the commitments TSHC has made to tenants with diligence and care.

These changes come as Jag Sharma, President and CEO of TCHC, will be moving to a new role in the City. Jag and I have worked closely over the past year and we will work together on a smooth transition. TCHC’s Board of Directors has already begun the search process for a new permanent CEO.

Together, TSHC and TCHC are supporting the City and working to strengthen the diverse communities we serve.
