The Responsible Personal Accessibility in Toronto Housing (R-PATH) Committee is a tenant-led committee of tenants with physical disabilities who advocate for accessibility. This includes advocating for tenants in buildings that are now in Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation. During the consideration to form the Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation, the R-PATH Committee advocated at the City of Toronto Executive Committee for the Accessibility Program to continue to be delivered by Toronto Community Housing staff and apply all Toronto Community Housing Accessibility Build Standards so tenants would still get the same accessibility quality that they were eligible for when the buildings and tenants were part of Toronto Community Housing. R-PATH also reached out to Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam to put forward a motion to require the new Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation to establish and maintain a tenant advisory committee. Both recommendations were accepted in the formation of Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation and passed by the City of Toronto.

R-PATH continues to advocate for tenants with physical disabilities with Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation. If you are interested in joining R-PATH please contact the Chair, Cathy Birch at

Stay tuned for more details on the R-PATH Committee coming to this web page in March, 2024.

Accessibility Is for You: This guide will advise tenants about what they need to do so they can submit an accessibility modification request.
