Toronto Seniors Housing updates employee vaccination policy

By December 16, 2022No Comments

TORONTO, December 16, 2022 — Effective December 1, 2022, Toronto Seniors Housing will revoke its policy requiring staff and vendors to be vaccinated against COVID-19.  This decision was made following a review of the City of Toronto’s decision to update their employee vaccination policy, in accordance with the best available scientific and public health advice.

With more than 90 per cent of the public and 99 per cent of TSHC staff having received at least two doses of the vaccine, the science no longer supports the need for a mandatory vaccine policy. We continue to strongly encourage and support all workers to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and stay up to date with recommended vaccinations.
